Change of scenery
Last two weeks I was enjoying some well deserved time off and used that time to relax, fill up my batteries and chill. No stress, no worry. Just doing what I felt like.
We spent our days sleeping in. Getting 8-9 hours of sleep honestly felt so refreshing! My usual sleep time is 6-7 hours during the week so getting 2-3 hours more each day was amazing.
Going for a run first thing in the morning meant starting the day with running along the beach, filling my lungs with fresh sea air and coming back home very very hungry haha. My usual breakfast continued even while on vacation, because truly, porridge is my favorite.
Rest of the days were spent walking around, cycling, basking in the sun and just relaxing. We ate outside a lot, enjoying fresh fish, meat, lots of desserts and just treating ourselves.
I did not stress myself with eating clean, logging in my workouts or hitting my daily activity. Never the less, I was pretty active. Manged to run my longest distance so far - 17 km, which was a great accomplishment and one step closer to my goal of running half a marathon at the end of this month.
Stepping back from my usual routine allowed me to focus my mind and my heart on the things and thoughts that fill me from the inside. There have been so many precious moments.
This vacation was perfect combo of being active, eating out and enjoying food, relaxing and overall happy vibes. I laughed a lot and I laughed from the deepest parts of my soul.
Nothing fills my soul as much as spending some time on the seaside..I feel like my batteries are now completely recharged and I am looking forward to getting back to my everday life and hustle.
